THE PENTHOUSE CLUB OPENS IN PERTH

Penthouse Magazine is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary in 2015 and recently announced that they are opening The Penthouse Club Perth, the first location of the world famous brand in Austrailia.  The Penthouse Club Perth is owned and operated by Lilly Merendino and Derek Mason, owners of Club Xotica at the same site since 1999, which was converted to the Penthouse brand.

Mason said, “After 16 years of successfully operating Club Xotica, we wanted to make a change that would not just be new, because new wears off, but would be different and exciting for Perth.  It became clear the only way to do that was with the world famous Penthouse brand and a complete remodel.   The high standards and image of The Penthouse Club are already bringing us people that never came before and encouraging all our staff, from entertainers to waitresses, to up their game.”

Jeff Stoller, Director of Global Club Licensing for Penthouse, says, “Perth is a terrific city, Derek and Lilly are superb operators, the girls are beautiful and the combination is sure to provide some top flight hospitality and entertainment for an audience, many of whom stopped going out many years ago because there was nothing at this level that made them feel comfortable.”

“The Penthouse Club will be something really exciting for Perth,” said co-owner Lilly Merendino. “With a lot of planning and off-site manufacturing, we were able to completely renovate the property in a 3 week period over the holidays.”  In addition to an entirely new décor featuring Chesterfield upholstered walls, 2 new champagne rooms and a skybox, the remodel also included several impressive high-tech features such as on-off glass on the skybox, a giant stereo video projection and a fog screen -- all of which are firsts for Perth.

“The Penthouse Club is a first class entertainment venue.  It will cater to the business and professional community, along with everyone who grew up with the world-famous Penthouse brand.  A lot of people will be pleasantly surprised when they see the kind of quality our great city has been missing,” said Merendino.

With its prime location in the central business and entertainment district, The Penthouse Club is an exciting addition to the nightlife options of Perth.

Globally recognized as a premier adult entertainment and lifestyle brand, Penthouse is part of FriendFinder Networks Inc. (www.FFN.com), a leading internet-based social networking and technology company operating several of the most heavily visited social networking websites in the world, particularly with respect to its adult-oriented websites.  In addition, the FriendFinder Networks family of companies produces and distributes original pictorial and video content, licenses its Penthouse brand to a variety of consumer companies and entertainment venues, and publishes branded men’s lifestyle magazines.

Cal/OSHA drops all production-related citations against Evil Angel

Adult industry leader Evil Angel has struck the latest blow against California state regulatory agency Cal/OSHA’s campaign to derail X-rated entertainment.  In an administrative hearing held yesterday in Covina, Calif., Cal/OSHA dropped all charges against Evil Angel as related to adult movie production. The move came almost a year and a half after the agency’s inspection of Evil Angel’s office, and a year after citations were issued. Evil Angel had vigorously denied any wrongdoing against the unfounded production-related charges.

Dropped charges included such catchphrases as “bloodborne pathogens” and “other potentially infectious materials (OPIM),” as well as ample references to vaginal, anal and oral sex. All that remains is for the administrative law judge in the case to rule on minor violations.

“Yesterday OSHA made a motion to the judge to drop all of the production citations,” said Evil Angel CFO Adam Grayson. “All of what remains is ticky-tack warehouse stuff, the same you would find in any warehouse in California, big or small, adult or otherwise. An extension cord here, an unlabeled breaker switch there.”

Evil Angel owner John Stagliano led the fight. “We are in a culture war. Many people would love to have the power to control what we do with our bodies,” said Stagliano. “The porn industry by its very existence fights for freedom, for the freedom to do what you want with your body and show that to the world. This is a small victory in the war on our freedom. “

Attorney Karen Tynan, who has represented a number of other adult companies in OSHA cases, represented Evil Angel in the matter. “We never considered settlement, we always knew we were in the right, and John refused to be bullied by the State of California,” said Tynan. “I can’t praise John Stagliano enough for what he’s done for the adult industry. I’m so proud to have worked with him and Adam to defend Evil Angel and the industry.”

Since 1989, Evil Angel has been the most lauded and celebrated studio in the history of adult entertainment, in the eyes of fans, its peers, and award voters. The company distributes 25 new movies per month on the web (www.evilangel.com), DVD, broadcast and every other platform conceivable.

‘Cam Girlz’ documentary set to premier at AVN Show

Continuing its longstanding tradition of featuring compelling entertainment, the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo is pleased to offer attendees the first exclusive look at a documentary that explores the world of live-cam models. Titled Cam Girlz, the feature-length documentary is set to premiere for the first time ever on Jan. 22 at 8:30 p.m. at Vinyl, inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The screening is sponsored by Chaturbate and all industry members, press and Extreme VIP badge holders will be allowed access.

Directed by Sean Dunne, Cam Girlz is a documentary film that enters the world of internet sex workers who find economic freedom, empowerment, intimacy and creative self-expression from the comfort of their own homes. Dunne is an accomplished documentarian. His first feature, Oxyana, which explored the devastating effects of Oxycontin on a small town, premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, where the filmmaker won the Best New Documentary Director award.

"I had been yearning to make a film about women that challenge the establishment," Dunne told Medium.com. During the making of Oxyana I remember being curious about the lives of the women who you see in those pop ups while youre watching porn. Real women broadcasting from their bedrooms. Who were they? What were they like? How did they end up doing this? I did some research and stumbled into this fascinating online community of women who did this sort of internet sex work from the comfort and safety of their homes. I saw them refer to themselves as cam girls and that sounded like the title of a film I would want to seeso I decided to make it."

Chaturbate, sponsors of the premiere, are excited to be involved with the project. A few girls that cam on the site are featured in the movie.

We are so excited about this movie, Shirley from Chaturbate said. Chaturbate is familiar with Sean Dunne's work, American Juggalo, whichhad gone viral. When we saw he was working on a documentary based on cam girls we jumped at the chance to get involved. They had casting calls in New York, Seattle, and LA - many of our cam girls showed up and were casted. We also booked a location and flew in girls to Hollywood, California so they could be filmed. It was great experience!

Many popular cam models are featured in the documentary including Abby Rhode, Conner Jay, Ginger Meadows, Awesome Kate and Sophia Locke.
Chaturbates Shirley believes Cam Girlz adds a healthy dash of humanity to the stars of the live cam industry.

"Currently there are commercials for live cam sites on cable TV, and I think theres a big misunderstanding between porn stars and cam girls - theyre very different," Shirley said. This movie will set the record straight. Cam girls are so much more than a sex object, it's a real hustle. We're happy to see a movie add depth, understanding, and positive reflection to the live cam industry as a whole. I definitely think this film is going to further this niche in mainstream."
